Pay Your Neighborhood Association Dues
Dues are one of the easiest way to get involved with the association, and support its efforts. Your dues help support the neighborhood association’s mission and programming throughout the year.
So, where does that money go?
This is a common (and legitimate) question. The newly elected leaders of the neighborhood association are working to make the dues value proposition more clear. So all of our neighbors understand why we ask them to pay dues, and where that money goes. Historically, here is the list of benefits (not all inclusive) highlighted as part of a paid association membership:
A vote in any neighborhood election, neighborhood meeting decisions and neighborhood improvements.
Discretionary donations to Sedgefield Middle School and Dilworth Elementary School (Sedgefield Campus).
Neighborhood Social Events like movie night, live music in the park, food trucks, chili cook off and social events.
Sedgefest, the annual neighborhood event that brings together neighbors with food, drinks, entertainment and vendors.
Neighborhood beautification projects like art work on Marsh, forthcoming branded street toppers and more.
Website maintenance.
What are the terms of membership?
There are now two options for paid memberships, a personal membership and a family membership. The only difference between those options is the family membership allows for two voting members (over the age of 18) in the household, while the individual membership allows for one.
Membership is valid for the current calendar year. If you pay in January, or in June, your membership is good for the entire year in which the dues were paid.
